This statement covers the website softquill.dev. Each app has its own privacy notes.

Controller

In short

• No account, no cookies, no advertising.
• The site stores nothing in your browser.
• Fonts and images come from softquill.dev itself, not from third-party services.
• Visits and downloads are only counted as totals and without cookies.

Delivering the site

softquill.dev is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). To deliver the site to you and protect it against attacks, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: IP address, time, requested address and browser identifier. This data is not used for advertising. Cloudflare may also process data outside Switzerland; contractual safeguards are in place for this.

Visitor numbers

For simple statistics (how many visits, which pages, from which country) softquill.dev uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and builds no profiles of individuals.

Our own count of visits and downloads

So that softquill.dev knows how often the site is visited and Hangar or Deskmap are downloaded, the site counts by itself, without cookies. To count a browser only once per day, a hashed check value is derived from the IP address and browser identifier, using a secret value that changes every day. The IP address and browser identifier themselves are not stored, and the check values are deleted the following day. Only totals per day, referring site and country are kept.

Downloads

The download buttons lead via softquill.dev/download/… to the file on download.softquill.dev, both at Cloudflare. The same technical data is processed as when you visit the site.

Email

Messages to hello@softquill.dev are forwarded through Cloudflare to Christoph Schumann's mailbox. They are only used to reply and are deleted when no longer needed for that.

Links to other sites

Nova Assistant and Nova Health have their own websites at nova-assistant.io. Their privacy policy applies there.

Your rights

You can ask at any time which data about you exists, and have it corrected or deleted. An email tohello@softquill.dev is enough. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
